9 Counter-intuitive Ways to Improve Concentration and Get More Done

By Monica Nelson The faster our world speeds up, the less we seem to be able to get done. The technology that has come along to help us improve our lives can be just as destructive to accomplishing what we must. One of the problems we face in getting more done is that we can’t seem to concentrate enough to get our tasks done in the time they should take. Instead, we end up spending more time trying to get our focus. If this strikes a chord with you, why not slow down a little to begin with. Or take extra time to do certain rituals that in the long … Continue reading

By Monica Nelson Quick – what is the most important quality to propel you through life with the utmost efficiency, happiness, and accomplishment? I acknowledged my understanding of his analytical approach to house hunting. After all, it was a huge and life-changing decision we were making. I followed the agent inside, with my husband coming in behind us. As I set foot in the … Continue reading

Take a Moment to Sit in Love

By Monica Nelson About a year ago, I took my son to pick up his glasses at the optometrist. It had been an extremely hot and frustrating day. After a number of errands, this was our last and we wanted to get home. The optometrist’s counter was just inside the doctor’s office off to the left. The pathway toward the doctor’s office was at an angle that cut across the very small area in front of the counter. People were smashed against one another when we arrived. My son and I stood on the fringes waiting our turn. We moved side-to-side as people walked to and from the doctor’s intake … Continue reading
